My mother taught me to finger paint. It was at a glass table set in a small kitchen in our two bedroom apartment. At least that's the earliest memory I have of making art. I've been a doodling, gluing, cutting maniac every since. My days were always filled with sewing, painting, drawing, sculpting, and collaging.

Flash forward to college. The day I dropped out, rather. The day I was tired of artless classes and took a job in a scrapbooking store creating cards and layouts. It wasn't until this moment that I came to terms with my life long quest to create project after project and embraced the desire to express myself through paper and color.

My passion for drawing, memory keeping, and crafting is still thriving. While I’m no longer working for that store, I want everyone to see their creative potential and long to help others tell their ever important story. The blog is an overflow of those passions, while my shop is full of unique creations and helpful tools. Whether you’re in need of an updated family portrait, business cards to stand out from the crowd, or a keepsake to remember a special day, Oak & Pine is ready to create something for just you!

I'm so glad you've found your way to my corner of the world.
